Burger King France takes philanthropy to a different level by buying 200 tonnes of potatoes to support farmers. As per the reports, Burger King is giving 1kg potatoes to their customers on every visit and the same was posted with a heartwarming tweet that said: “Let’s not leave anyone in a mess.”
This is not the first time, when Burger King has taken an initiative to support and extend a helping hand to the different communities. This time Burger King France is all set to help the farmers who had to bear the brunt of the pandemic and suffer immensely due to the shutdown of restaurants. Thus, the burger chain bought 200 tonnes of potatoes and distributed them to their customers to support the farmers’ community.
In another such initiative, Burger King France recently gave their customers free potatoes, in a bid to help the potato farmers in the country. Due to the pandemic situation and the closure of the restaurants, the potato farmers suffered immensely. Hence, Burger King lent their support and bought 200tonne extra potatoes and distributed them among the customers.
As per reports on the internet, each customer was given 1kg potatoes, along with their meal and a message written on the potato bags had a soul touching message written in French that said:
“Due to the forced closure of the restaurants, the potato farmers are left with tonnes of crops. Hence, we decided to support them by buying 200 extra tonnes of potatoes. From 2nd February, we will give 1kg bag potatoes to each customer on their visit.”
Even a few months back, the popular burger chain was in the news for its extended support to the restaurant industry as they urged customers to also order from other food players to save jobs, and this time they again stood up to support the farmers community. What’s your take on that?
