Parag Milk Foods, marketers of dairy-based branded foods in India, have recently launched four new flavours in Cheese slices – Piri Piri, Achari, Schezwan and Kacha aam that will be available across all metro cities and urban centres in India. Early this year the company launched ‘Chutney Cheese’ slices with convenience of sandwich making as an insight from consumer research.
“It now plans to offer four new innovative flavours – Kacha Aam, Achari, Piri Piri & Schezwan – these flavours have been developed keeping in mind the current taste trends and the right mix of traditional and international flavours, ” stated a release of the company. “These flavoured slices can be used as perfect ingredient for making of parathas, sandwiches, pakoras, burgers or dosas and saves the grind for a mother at home or a chef,” the release added further.
Speaking on the occasion, Mahesh Israni, Chief Marketing Officer, Parag Milk Foods Ltd said, “Backed with innovative marketing campaigns on social and mainstream media, this chutney cheese variant is already 20% of our sales in cheese slice category. Our R & D is focused on consumer requirements and plays a key role in determining new product developments. While the flavoured cheese category consumption in India is at a nascent stage, we foresee a huge demand considering the evolving palette of consumers.”
Speaking on the launch, Mr. Devendra Shah, Chairman, Parag Milk Foods Ltd. said, “At Parag Milk Foods, we pride in calling ourselves ‘We understand the increased impetus given to health and nutrition by our consumers and are striving to fulfill these requirements through all our products which are made from 100% pure cow’s milk. The company has placed the combo pack called ‘Spice Up’ of all the flavours together in the market. The price of combo pack is Rs. 160/- per 200 gm. This is to generate trial for all the variants at once post which, the company will be introducing individual packs of each variant in the market.
