Wat-a-Burger plans to achieve revenue of Rs 40 crore by March 2022

Wat-a-Burger, a burger chain in India, plans to hit the revenue target of Rs 40 crore by the end of the fiscal year, the company said in a press release.
The company claims to have experienced 15% growth in the last 6 months. It says it has recovered to nearly 80 percent in terms of traction compared to Covid times and aims to end this fiscal year with a 100 point-of-sale count.
Wat-a-Burger will open 10 dining establishments in 8 cities by the end of 2021. The company said it has planned to expand primarily into Tier 2 cities, which include Lucknow, Patna, Muzaffarpur, Kozhikode, Palakkad, Jamshedpur, Pune and Mumbai.
“Due to the pandemic, we had to make small changes to the initial expansion plans in terms of locations and their schedule. However, things seem to have gotten back on track now. We go aggressive in all directions to mark our presence. The idea of taking advantage of Tier 2 markets has been one of the best strategies and it has worked in our favor. Therefore, most of the new outlets will open only in Tier 2 markets. We expect a great response in these cities, ”said Farman Beig, co-founder and CEO of the company.
Currently, the company has more than 60 outlets and operates in 26 cities and 9 states in India.
